Which makes a LOT of sense, from a corporate marketing perspective. Allegedly, it's lined to release around part 2 of Pokemon Scarlet/Violet dlc. Now here we are, & another rumors going around again of a new switch successor and it's capabilities.I figured at the time development on patches stalled because some insider baseball was probably known of a real switch successor, and waiting commenced where the hopes where the upcoming hardware would "pull the slack", instead of taking accountability and optimizing the current hardware. Yet we get awesome ports like Nier and No Man's Sky. Then AAA titles like Scarlet and Violet dropped the disco ball over and over, even though seeming like it shouldn't have to, based on the overall graphics. Yeah we had games like Witcher but it's pretty agreed on that it's still not as good as we would've hoped, for various reasons(a lot of fans were just happy to have it portable in better condition than launch). It had Diablo 2 Resurrected & Diablo 3 with constant support and updates, so maybe IV, right? However once revealed i kind of lost hope that it could run on the hardware. Since the announcement of 4s development, i hoped it would come to switch(regardless that I'm planning on getting a steam Deck soon). "IF ITS POSSIBLE, WHY NOT ANNOUNCE IT NOW?".The development of those games on switch could've been the R&D needed to get something like DIV functional on switch If Digital Extremes could get the network down on switch without much compromise, could Activision Blizzard? They also aren't strangers to switch, bringing titles like diablo 2,3(offline) and overwatch(online).
